I carried out this photoshoot using a Spyderco Tenacious C122GS knife with the intention of producing visuals that could be used for the brand’s social media communication.

The objective of this shoot was to present the EDC knife as a premium product, highlighting its refined finishes and long-lasting durability. To achieve this, I focused on the materials by working with lighting that either follows the contours of the object

or brings the textures to the forefront. Some images emphasize the overall shape of the knife, showcasing its design, while others focus on enhancing the quality and character of its materials.

This photoshoot steps outside the brand’s usual visual codes, which typically feature its products in realistic still-life settings. By moving away from this conventional framework, the project offers a different perspective, allowing the object to be appreciated beyond its original functional purpose.

I modeled this visual based on my own keyboard, a niche handcrafted object.

My goal was to create a high-quality 3D packshot intended for presentation visuals. By working in 3D, I was able to experiment with atypical compositions

and framing that would be difficult or even impossible to achieve

through traditional photography.
